The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has extended the application deadline for the Joint Admission Test (JAM) 2026 for postgraduate degrees to October 20th. Students who were unable to complete their application by the deadline can now complete the application process by visiting the official website at jam2026.iitb.ac.in.

Eligibility and Criteria
Students who have completed their graduation are eligible to apply for this exam. Additionally, students who will complete their graduation in 2026, i.e., those in their final year, can also fill out the form. However, they will need to provide proof of graduation at the time of admission.
Important Documents for Application
Candidates will need to upload certain important documents for the application. Therefore, students should prepare their Matriculation/10th certificate, passport-size photograph, signature, caste certificate, and PWD certificate (if applicable) in advance.
Application Process
To fill out the JAM 2026 application form, first visit the official portal jam2026.iitb.ac.in.
On the home page, click on JOAPS Portal under "How To Apply?".
Click on "Register Here" and register by entering the required details.
Following this, fill in the other details through login.
Upload your signature and photograph.
Pay the category-wise prescribed fees.
Finally, submit the completed form, take a printout, and keep it safe.
Application Fees
All other categories applying for one paper will have to pay ₹2,000 and ₹2,700 for both papers, along with the IIT JAM 2026 application. Similarly, SC/ST/PWD/Female candidates applying for one paper will have to pay ₹1,000 and ₹1,350 for both papers.
