Every parent wishes that their child is self-confident, can put forward their views in front of the world, is not afraid of mistakes, and faces the challenges of life boldly. But self-confidence is not an inborn quality - it is gradually developed through experiences, upbringing, and environment. In such a situation, the role of parents becomes very important. If you also want to instill confidence in your child, then there are some important things you can do to develop permanent self-confidence in them.

The first thing that should be kept in mind is to listen to the child seriously and give importance to them. When the child is saying something, even if it seems normal to you, do not ignore it. When children feel that their thoughts are being given importance, their confidence increases. In such a situation, they start speaking their mind openly and gradually become socially strong.
The second important thing is to appreciate the children for their efforts, not just for the results. Even if the child fails in some work, instead of scolding or taunting him, explain that trying is the most important thing. For example, if the child has failed in drawing, then tell him that "You worked hard, that is the most important thing. Next time, do better." This kind of positive feedback motivates the child to learn and does not let fear settle in.
The third thing that strengthens self-confidence is to give children the freedom to make small decisions. You can let them choose their clothes, plan their homework, or ask for advice on what to do on a holiday. When the child sees that his decisions are being appreciated, he gains confidence in himself and feels confident about his decisions.
Apart from this, it is also important to give children practice in facing challenges. Do not solve the problem for them every time. If a toy is broken or some homework seems difficult, then instead of giving an immediate solution, give them a chance to think. Tell them that "you think, there will be a way." This will help them develop a solution-finding attitude, which forms the foundation of self-confidence.
Finally, remember that you are the biggest role model for children. If you are confident, accept your mistakes, and remain balanced in every situation, then children will learn the same. Show them through your behavior that confidence does not mean arrogance, but belief in yourself. Such small but effective steps will not only fill your child with confidence but will also make them a better person.
