Ajay Devgn's much awaited crime thriller film Raid 2 has been released in theaters today i.e. on May 1, 2025. The film has made a bomb collection on the very first day. This film is a sequel to the 2018 hit film Raid. In this film, Ajay Devgan plays the role of Amay Patnaik, a principled Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax Department, who is known for his tireless campaign against corruption.

According to Sacniclk, Raid 2 has recorded a record occupancy of 21.23 percent in the morning show on the first day. In this case, it has secured second place, leaving behind Jat, Kesari Chapter 2, Sky Force, and every other Bollywood film of 2025. This crime thriller has attracted 54 percent more viewers than Salman Khan's Eid 2025 release Sikandar.

Good occupancy was seen in the morning
The film was released in around 10,000 shows across India. The number of viewers in the morning show was a little over 20 percent, while the number of viewers is expected to increase in the evening and weekend shows. In this case, the film is behind Vicky Kaushal's film Chhava, directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, which recorded an unmatched occupancy of 30.5 percent in the morning.

What was the first day of collection?
Before the weekend, the film is getting maximum viewers from Pune in the morning show. At the same time, the maximum number of shows are being run in Delhi. Talking about the first-day collection, according to the report of Sacnilk, the film can collect Rs 16.69 crore on the first day. In this way, it is much better than many other films released in the year 2025. The film is now behind only Chhava released this year, which collected 31 crores on the first day.

Talking about the cast of the film, apart from Ajay Devgan, Ritesh Deshmukh, Vaani Kapoor, Rajat Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla, and Supriya Pathak are in important roles.
