Maihar (Madhya Pradesh): A tragic road accident occurred in Madhya Pradesh’s Maihar, injuring seven people, including children, on Friday.
According to information, the incident occurred in the morning around 8 am near Amranala on National Highway 30 in the Maihar police station area. Here, a car, returning from a wedding ceremony, lost control and overturned several times before coming to a halt.
The car was reportedly speeding when the driver lost control and the vehicle crashed into a road divider. The impact caused the car to flip two to three times. Loud screams for help alerted nearby locals, who immediately informed the Maihar police.
Police rushed to the spot and, after much effort, managed to rescue all the injured passengers from the badly damaged vehicle. The victims were first taken to Maihar Civil Hospital.
After initial treatment, all injured were referred to Sanjay Gandhi Medical College in Rewa for further medical care.

According to reports, the family had come from Laholi village in Rewa to attend a marriage function in Amadara, Maihar. The accident happened while they were returning home early in the morning.
Those injured in the crash were identified as Chandra Pratap Singh (56), the driver; Divyanshi Pandey (10); Ruchi Pandey (23); Sharad Dwivedi (19); Abhishek Pandey (20); Preeti Sharma (26) and Jyoti Dwivedi (28).
One of the injured told police that the car was at high speed and the driver may have dozed off, which led to the accident. One girl reportedly sustained serious injuries on her neck.
Police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
