For Starbucks fans, autumn 'officially' began at the end of August, when the coffee chain's viral pumpkin spice lattes arrived back on their menu. But for anyone keen to recreate this sweet and spicy coffee drink at home – and for less money – you'll be thrilled to here that Nespresso has just brought back some of its best-loved seasonal flavours, including pumpkin spice.
After finding that over half of UK coffee drinkers said that seasonal flavours elevated their coffee-drinking experience, Nespresso has reintroduced four of its most popular autumn blends for 2025, available in its Original and its Vertuo coffee pods: Maple Pecan and Pumpkin Spice Cake are already available to buy on the Nespresso website, while we're told that Gingerbread and Peppermint Pinwheel will also be on their way.

To celebrate this launch, Nespresso ambassador Sir David Beckham joined a brunch at Nespresso’s Covent Garden flagship store, where recipes celebrating the seasonal flavours were served.
While Maple Pecan was apparently Nespresso’s fastest selling limited-edition pod in 2024, Pumpkin Spice Cake is the one you want if you're recreating a PSL at home. With notes of sweet pumpkin as well as cloves, cinnamon and cardamom, it has medium levels of body, bitterness and acidity, and can be used to make both mugs of hot coffee and iced drinks.
Nespresso's Pumpkin Spice Cake original pods – for which you need a machine like the Pixie, or similar from another brand such as Grind – cost £5.50 for a sleeve of 10 pods, working out at 55p per coffee. Even with the additional cost of milk, if you're making a latte, this works out as significantly cheaper than buying one from Starbucks or other cafés, which usually cost around the £4 mark.

This limited-edition flavour in Nespresso's newer, and more advanced, Vertuo pods costs £8.50 for 10 – still significantly cheaper than the shop-bought drinks. I've compared the difference between Nespresso's Original and Vertuo machines here.
If you don't have a coffee pod machine, another easy way to get the PSL experience at home is simply by adding a flavoured syrup into your regular coffee. You'll find several options on Amazon, including popular brand MONIN Pumpkin Spice Syrup, currently £13.20, and Simply Pumpkin Spice Syrup, which looks more luxe than its current £6.99 price.
If you want to up your at-home barista game even further, invest in a milk frother to create creamy lattes and cappuccinos in your own kitchen. I've had the Nespresso Aeroccino3 Milk Frother, £79, for years and if stills works brilliantly, or this little handheld battery-powered milk whisk, currently £7.99, does the job well too.
