Robbie Savage displayed a moment of class as he carried a young Forest Green Rovers supporter onto the pitch to celebrate his side's 2-0 win at Woking on Saturday.
Savage, 50, has made quite the impact since he left Macclesfield and was appointed as Forest Green's new manager in July. The former Derby and Leicester midfielder has led the Gloucestershire club to an unbeaten start across all competitions, winning nine and drawing three of his 12 matches in charge.
After scoring a stoppage-time equaliser to salvage a 1-1 draw against Scunthorpe in their previous league game, Forest Green returned to winning ways with a comfortable success over Woking.

It was a result that saw Rovers return to the top of the fifth-tier, having picked up 24 points from a possible 30 available, after Rochdale's clash against Southend was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
While Forest Green's win was another impressive one, it was Savage's post-match gesture that stood out. Following the final whistle, Savage spotted a young supporter standing next to the pitch, just behind the barrier.
Without second thought, Savage walked over, lifted the fan onto his chest and carried him onto the pitch to join in the celebrations with the rest of the Forest Green faithful that travelled east. It was a moment that showed an emotional connection between both Savage and the Forest Green fans, who are riding a crest of a wave right with the club eyeing a return to League Two.
After a clip of Savage making a young fan's day emerged on social media, ex-Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand posted on X: "Love it."
One fan wrote: "Touching scenes after another win. @RobbieSavage8 has fostered an incredible connection with the fans and our community."
Another said: "Quality this, Forest Green manager Robbie Savage gets a young fan on the pitch to celebrate with the team and fans. Love seeing stuff like this, the kid and his family will remember it forever!"
A third said: "Class that, Robbie." While a fourth just kept it simple: "Impossible to watch that without smiling."
Savage cut a delighted figure in his post-match interview after an excellent team performance at Woking.
He said: "It was a performance of a team that can win in any way. It was a magnificent performance from start to finish. These are the games, we scored two, but we need to be scoring three, four, five, you saw when our goalkeeper went down, get up, I want to score more goals.
"I promised the fans we'd be a fun and entertaining side to watch, and we're certainly delivering that."
