Call of Duty Next is well underway, not only to keep you updated on the features of Black Ops 7, but also to provide early access beta.

The latest Call of Duty transition is rapidly approaching, and while many players are still quite irked that Black Ops 7 has been overshadowed by the massive success of the Battlefield 6 betas and are anticipating another largely light-hearted addition to the series, it's about to explode onto the scene in what we presume will be a grand launch. The Black Ops series moves into its seventh instalment, and despite being a sequel to Black Ops 2 (yes, it's baffling), it's making some significant strides by introducing some seriously mind-boggling campaign missions and transforming its Zombies experience into a surreal journey across the Dark Aether.

Change is on the horizon for Call of Duty, and following its appearance at Gamescom 2025, there's plenty more we can expect to see at Call of Duty Next, the annual stream that reveals loads about the latest franchise title that doesn't plan to deviate for Black Ops 7. This year is set to be particularly intriguing, as there have been many bold promises made about just how thought-provoking the new story will be, and with the game's commitment to realistic cosmetics in pursuit of a more grounded tone, we still don't know every aspect of the developer's efforts to make it actually happen.

So, when exactly can we witness Call of Duty developers reveal what's coming next? Here's everything you need to know about the Call of Duty Next launch date.

Call of Duty Next launch date

The Call of Duty Next launch date is scheduled for Tuesday, September 30 at 9am PDT / 12pm EDT / 5pm BST. You'll be able to view the presentation on YouTube and Twitch.

The duration of the livestream hasn't been disclosed yet, but gamers have been told to expect "developers from Treyarch talking you through the full Black Ops 7 offering, plus representatives from across Call of Duty Studios and community channels, and key announcements, full Beta information, and everything coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Multiplayer, Zombies, and Call of Duty: Warzone."

Call of Duty Next Twitch Drops

Fortunately, as confirmed by a Call of Duty blog post, there are several rewards that you can collect during the presentation. For viewing the showcase with a YouTube or Twitch account directly connected to Call of Duty via your Activision account, you can unlock the following:

• 15 minutes – CoD Next Emblem
  
• 30 minutes – CoD Next Calling Card
  
• 45 Minutes – Black Ops 7 Charm
  
• 60 minutes [Twitch only] – Black Ops 7 Early Access to Open Beta

It's a brilliant collection of rewards, particularly as players will be able to walk away from the event with the opportunity to experience the game's beta before anyone else, unless of course you've already pre-ordered the title.

If you're not bothered about being told the new features coming to Black Ops 7, at least the Call of Duty Next showcase will give you the opportunity to dive in and figure it out for yourself. And frankly, that's worth enduring a bit of chatter.
