GB News came to an abrupt halt as the programme issued a breaking announcement on Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. King Charles stripped his younger brother formerly known as Prince Andrew, of his styles, titles and honours. The decision was made due to the royal's friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, which emerged in the headlines once again recently.
Andrew, 65, will also leave his 30-room mansion, Royal Lodge, and will reside in a property on the King's Norfolk estate, paid for by the monarch. But in a new update, GB News presenter Ben Leo announced Andrew is set to get a six-figure payout and an annual payment as part of his "relocation settlement" after being forced out of the Royal Lodge.
He told viewers: "Breaking tonight. It can be revealed that Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, properly known as Prince Andrew, could be in line for a large, one off payment and even an annual fee to stop him from overspending in his new life as a commoner.
"A taxpayer top up for a man who already had it all. The payment reportedly in six figures. The government says it has no plans to remove Andrew Mountbatten Windsor from the line of succession so technically he is still in line to the throne."
Ben added: "Only in Britain could you lose your titles, your home, your dignity, but still keep your place in the queue for the crown."
The update left viewers outraged as one claimed: "Yep, knew that was coming - that's his hush money so he doesn't bubble the rest of the deviants in @RoyalFamily. He was only never convicted of anything because he bought his way out of it. Public money = private chequebook to these people."
Another fumed: "That lad should be figuring out how to make an honest living like the rest of us instead of lining his pockets again."
"Who made this decision? It is wrong on so many different levels," echoed a third as a fourth said: "Why the privilege??? Prosecute him!!"
Just hours after losing his titles, Andrew was removed from the Official Roll of the Peerage. The Roll of the Peerage is the public record of peers and peerages of England, Scotland, Ireland, Great Britain and the UK.
Spanning 185 pages, the Roll lists hereditary peers, members of the House of Lords, and members of the Royal Family. However,- Andrew's name has now disappeared from its pages.
