An angry motorist has slammed their new electric car as the "biggest inconvenience" and is even wishing for a return to a traditional petrol or diesel model. Reddit user @marsinlynnn posted her furious rant on social media, claiming that her "stupid EV" just "isn't practical".
The furious road user claimed waiting for the vehicle to charge had often made her late with road trips, which now took three times longer. She even suggested the family now had toplan their entire trip around topping upthe battery and were forced to leave destinations earlier to make sure they had time to stop. @marsinlynnn didn't reveal which electric vehicle her family had purchased in the ferocious message uploaded last year.

The frustrated driver posted on Reddit: "It's the biggest inconvenience ever. I hate that any trip over 100 miles turns into a six-hour-long trip because we need to figure out where to charge.
"It takes at least 30 minutes to charge, and that will only get us like 150 miles. Then of course going uphill or going over 70 mph drains the battery, using the heat drains the battery, the cold drains the battery, the AC drains the battery.
"If the car is dead, I need to plan my entire trip around charging. I need to leave earlier just to plug it in so I can make it on time.
"This stupid f***ing car has made me late to so many different things, but my husband loves it, so I bite my tongue because any time I bring it up, he gets defensive and tells me how expensive gas is."
The angry driver claimed they would rather spend £45on traditional combustion fuel than wait 30 minutes to an hour for their car to charge. The individual claimed that going up the mountains drains the battery, so they are unable to rely on a single charge to visit family.
On one trip, she claimed the journey had taken a staggering six hours to complete a usual two-hour trip due to having to wait around for charging plugs to become free. The experience has led the road user to even suggest that a return to traditional petrol and diesel vehicles would be welcomed.
She added: "I wish we would have just gotten a gas car. This stupid EV is the biggest inconvenience I have ever had to deal with."
