are reportedly set to reject Manchester United's big-money offer for Matheus Cunha. The Brazilian forward played in his side's 1-1 draw with Brentford on Sunday, and appeared to wave goodbye to home fans at the final whistle.
A move to Old Trafford looked inevitable when news emerged that . However, Molineux chiefs have now reportedly taken issue with the structure of United's proposed bid. As a result, they are set to turn down the offer in a huge blow to Ruben Amorim's transfer plans.
According to the BBC, Wolves are unhappy with United's proposal to pay Cunha's release clause over a five-year period. In his contract, any bidding club that meets the transfer fee is required to pay it in full by the end of the 2026/27 campaign.
The first £20.8m instalment is due to be paid the initial triggering of the clause and the second instalment at the end of the 2025/26 season. The final third is then required to be settled 12 months later.

That means United must pay in full three years earlier than they intend to. However, their rivals are said to expect Sir Jim Ratcliffe and co to honour the clause.
Cunha has made 92 appearances for Wolves since joining, initially on loan, from Atletico Madrid in January 2023. He's scored 33 times for the club, and to post a message to supporters.
"Individually it was the best season of my life," he wrote. "All of this was only possible because of all the dedication and love I have for this club. I became the Brazilian with the most goals in a Premier League season along with Roberto Firmino and Gabriel Martinelli.
"I made mistakes and got things right, but always because I lived this club so much. All I ever wanted was to do the impossible for Wolves. Another one is over. And thank you for all the affection."
