Ozzy Osbourne's heartbreaking message about Kelly's engagement before death

Kelly Osbourne is currently experiencing profound heartbreak following the passing of her rock legend father Ozzy Osbourne at age 76, occurring just days after she announced her engagement to long-term partner, Sid Wilson. On July 5, fewer than three weeks before his death,Ozzy officially concluded his Prince of Darkness era as he took to the stage for a final performance.

The rock icon joined his Black Sabbath bandmates at Villa Park, Birmingham, for what became one of the most legendary farewell concerts in musical history. Following the spectacular show, the Osbourne family witnessed a touching moment as Kelly's partner Sid proposed in front of her parents, Ozzy and Sharon. Taking to Instagram the following day to share the delightful news, Kelly, 40, posted the charming footage of Sid's proposal as he asked to spend his life with the former reality television personality.

Captioning the video, Kelly wrote: "Oh, and this happened yesterday."

In the touching clip, Sharon can be heard saying, "We've got to be quiet, hold on," as she quietens the backstage crew at the show.

Kelly's now fiance was then heard declaring: "Kelly, you know I love you more than anything in the world."

Nevertheless, Sid's tender proposal was quickly disrupted by a mischievous Ozzy who bellowed: "F*** off! You're not marrying my daughter."

Clearly accustomed to Ozzy's humour, Sid chuckled and proceeded to ask Kelly the crucial question. He went on: "Nothing would make me happier than spending the rest of my life with you. So, in front of your family and all of our friends, Kelly, will you marry me?"

Kelly then spun round with a stunned expression before covering her face with her hands and giving an enthusiastic 'yes'.

The footage then captured Sid displaying the sparkling ring to Ozzy before one of Kelly's pals shouted 'about time' as they teased about Sid's delayed proposal.

Kelly and Sid then embraced at length before sharing a kiss whilst their nearest and dearest applauded them in the background.

Kelly and her fiance have a lengthy history and only started their romantic relationship after being acquainted for more than two decades.

In 2022, as Kelly confirmed their relationship, a source close to the celebrity disclosed: "Kelly and Sid met when his band was touring with Ozzfest [the music festival created by Kelly's parents Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne] in 1999. They have remained friends since. They are very happy together."
