Victoria Coren Mitchell has exposed her true thoughts on Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman quitting Strictly Come Dancing - and fans turned out to beg her to take on the presenting role next year. The Only Connect presenter, who is married to comedian David Mitchell, is a keen fan of the BBC dance competition and often live-tweets her thoughts during the episodes.
This weekend was no different - and it marked the first live show since Claudia and Tess handed in their notice. They'll continue to host the programme for the rest of the series, along with the Christmas special, before stepping down next year.
While the pair were on-screen on Saturday (October 25), Victoria tweeted: "We love you, Tess and Claudia."
But fans have flocked to her post to suggest Victoria should be next year's host, with one tweeting: "Can I suggest Victoria and David as hosts next year? But only if Bob Mortimer is a contestant!"
Someone else agreed: "You and David going for the job?" while another echoed: "You and David should host it, it'd be hilarious!"
Tess and Claudia addressed their exit on the live show, telling viewers: "Just before we get started, Claudia and I announced this week that this will be our last series of Strictly Come Dancing.
"We want to thank you for your beautiful messages."
Claudia said: "We've got another eight weeks on this incredible show and a Strictly champion to crown," while Tess chimed in: "We cannot wait to spend the rest of the series with you, with our amazing couples and, of course, with these four - please welcome the judges."
